Oh god, let’s get this one over with, Teen Titans Go!

Teen Titans Go! is an American animated television series based on the DC Comics fictional superhero team, the Teen Titans. The series was announced following the popularity of DC Nation’s New Teen Titans shorts, which are based on the original Teen Titans TV series.

Sporting a new animation style, Teen Titans Go! serves as a comedic reboot with no continuity to the previous series or any other media in the DC Comics franchise, except for some details. Many DC characters make cameo appearances and are referenced in the background. The original principal voice cast returns to reprise their respective roles. This series gives a sneak peek at what the Titans do when they are hanging out around the tower.

Remember everything that made the original Teen Titans series so good, a fun mix of action, comedy, drama, and animation all rolled into one? Yeah, there is none of that here. I’m not even gonna waste any time on this one, Teen Titans Go! is terrible, it’s rubbish, it’s garbage, it’s a waste of time and talented actors.

This show is just bad, where do you even begin with this mess of a show?

Well, let’s start off with the lone positive thing I can say about the show, the voice work is still really good, it’s still Scott Menville, Tara Strong, Hynden Walch, Greg Cipes, and Khary Payton as these characters we came to know and love from the original show and they still give their heart and soul to the characters here even though the show doesn’t do any of that.

With that said, on to the problems with the show.

First off, the animation, my god, the animation looks so cheap and corny and all over the place. In fact, the whole series feels like it’s all over the place but let’s get more specific here, folks.

Another problem with the series is that lack of interesting stories, there is not a single story that has been done here that hasn’t been done much better in any other show in the past and it does its’ job so poorly.

My biggest problem with this show comes into the comedy, the comedy is not funny at all, they are trying to add that Ren & Stimpy/Cow & Chicken style humor to Teen Titans and you can’t make that work unless you have the right team to try to make this work. But on top of that, they rip off the concept of The Justice Friends from Dexter’s Laboratory, this whole series is essentially an unfunny version of The Justice Friends. Also, too many friggin’ memes as jokes, I swear, half the humor on this show is nothing but obnoxious humor and using memes as reference points.

Where the show goes from being bland to offensive comes from two different things. First up, earlier this year, we got another butchering of a great animated series with the new Powerpuff Girls reboot, which by the way, heads up, that will be in the top 10 worst TV shows of 2016 list, and so, Cartoon Network decided to cross the two shows together, which would be awesome…if this was 2003 but it’s 13 years later and with a much lesser show. By the way, remember when the voice actress for Bubbles, Tara Strong, along with Cathy Cavadini and E.G. Daily were upset calling the move to not have them back “a stab in the heart.” Well, guess what, she’s the voice of Raven and she had to do the crossover with the new actors for The Powerpuff Girls…but hey, she was probably under contract to do it so maybe she got forced into it.

But the biggest insult of this entire series so far was when they literally took an older episode of the original Teen Titans and dubbed over it with nothing but this stupid comedic humor. I swear to god, they did this to just piss off the fans of the original series, like myself, who felt betrayed by the new show. Literally, the writers were probably thinking, “oh, you don’t like our new show, well guess what, we’re gonna redub over one of those older episodes to rub it in your face that you have poor taste, so go fuck yourself.” It’s a cruel, sick, twisted joke to the fans of the original series and basically says to those people either like our new show or grow the fuck up.

I hate Teen Titans Go!, I hate it, it’s not funny, it’s not well animated, the stories are poorly written, the jokes are nothing but memes and obnoxious kiddie humor, it’s a bad show, I hate it, it’s one of the worst things DC has ever made in the television department and that is saying a lot. The still great voice work can’t say this trainwreck of a series from falling flat on its’ ass and I know there will be people who will tell me I’m wrong, I don’t know what I’m talking about but you know what, I tried to give it as much of a chance as I could but no, this thing is terrible.

Teen Titans Go! More like Teen Titans Go Away! Terrible show, I’m done, on to the next thing…
