Talking Simpsons #430: On A Clear Day I Can’t See My Sister

On A Clear Day I Can’t See My Sister is the 11th episode of season 16 and the 346th overall, was first broadcasted on March 6, 2005 with a script by Jeff Westbrook and directed by Bob Anderson.

After years of tolerating his antics, Lisa files a restraining order against Bart, forcing him to live in the backyard. Meanwhile, Homer becomes a greeter for a WalMart-esque department store called “Sprawl-Mart”.

Another episode where a lot of the jokes and setpieces for each subplot can easily be seen from a mile away, very rarely in this episode do you get a good joke that takes you completely by surprise as most of them you’ve either seen done before and done better in other shows. Hell, Family Guy had better WalMart jokes in the episode they did where this was the subplot over a year after this aired.

So, yeah, this one isn’t really all that great, a good joke will come every once in a while but overall, this one is a big miss.
