Talking Simpsons #431: Goo Goo Gai Pan

Goo Goo Gai Pan, the 12th episode of season 16 and the 347th overall, was first broadcasted on March 13, 2005 with a script by Lawrence Talbot (a.k.a. Dana Gould) and directed by Lance Kramer.

The Simpsons are going to China, after Selma (who recently began menopause) lists Homer as her husband in order to adopt a Chinese baby (while Marge poses as Selma and Homer’s live-in nanny). Lucy Liu and Robert Wagner guest star in the episode.

This is another episode where you really think there’s going to be something good here with the Simpsons going to China but what you end up getting towards the end is nothing but retreads from Selma’s Choice and The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons rolled into one story with the same outcomes from both shows except the ending is really underwhelming and doesn’t come together well at all.
