DC-Ember #118: Lego DC Comics Batman Be-Leagured

When I was putting this list of the movies and specials I was going to look at, I thought that Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leagured was another movie like the last Lego DC Comics movie was but I had no idea that this was actually a 22 minute special that aired on Cartoon Network back in 2014 so….yeah, probably won’t be spending too much time on this one so, Batman Be-Leagured:

Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered is an animated superhero television special based on the Lego and DC Comics brands. It premiered on Cartoon Network on October 27, 2014. It was later released on DVD with Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs. Bizarro League.

Superman wants Batman to join his new superhero team, but Batman prides himself on being a self-sufficient loner.

Yeah, this is pretty meh. I mean, for little kids, they’re more than likely enjoy it more than adults were but this is about as safe for kids as you can get, it’s not like The Lego Movie or some of these other Lego based video games and movies where it has universal appeal for not just kids but adults, this is one that is strictly being centered for the kids, or likely the Ninjago fans, it’s got that style of animation to it.

Not necessarily bad but not necessarily good, it’s just okay, the animation is decent, the story is pretty bland, the voice work is okay, the action is decent, it’s just an okay little special, if you’ve got kids that would enjoy it more then show it to them but as for the adults, it is what it is, a harmless special that’s basically fluff…but okay fluff.
