State Of The Reviewing Network For April 2017

Welcome to the latest State of The Reviewing Network for the month of April 2017, let’s begin as we usually do by looking at what’s coming up this month:

TATM: TALKIN’ ABOUT THE MOVIES

A plethora of new reviews as the summer movie season begins with Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword, Snatched, Alien: Covenant, and Baywatch.

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF DISNEY

We begin our look at the Disney direct-to-video movies (as well as looking at some other animated Disney theatrical releases) such as The Return Of Jafar, A Goofy Movie, Aladdin & The King Of Thieves, and Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search For Christopher Robin.

THE REVIEWING NETWORK LIVE

This month, we’ll be watching Alien, Prometheus, 21 Jump Street, & 22 Jump Street.

MY TAKE ON…

This month, we talk about what to expect if we’re faced with a new writers’ strike, show how there are better Batman/Superman crossovers than friggin’ Dawn Of Justice, why Cool World is such a unique movie in its’ own rights, find out what the hell happened to Oliver Stone, and talk about my favorite Disney characters.

MOVIES IN MY COLLECTION

This month, we look at Netflix’s brand new One Day At A Time reboot, the short lived Casey Wilson/Ken Marino series Marry Me, the short lived The Michael J. Fox Show, the 25th anniversary of Alien 3, and the Netflix movie Girlfriend’s Day.

THE TALK ABOUT NOTHING

More episodes in Seinfeld season 7 this month.

TALKING SIMPSONS

We wrap up season 18 as well as the currently airing season 28 and begin looking at season 19 episodes.

DO YOU REMEMBER?

This month, we look back at Soul Train, The Party Machine With Nia Peeples, discuss the stupid age of reality television, and look at the criminally overlooked Merv Griffin’s Crosswords.

WHO’S THE BETTER FRANCHISE?

This month, we’ll look at which film was better, the original Tron or its’ 2010 sequel, Tron Legacy.

ACTORS’ SPOTLIGHT

This month, we’ll spotlight the careers of Mel Gibson, Emma Watson, Oscar Issac, Adam Sandler, and JK Simmons.

THE MUSIC ROOM

On Monday May 29th, we present a new Musical Spotlight with the best of Madonna’s music.

THE REVIEWING NETWORK’S FAVORITE MOVIES

This month, we’ll look at A Christmas Story, Last Holiday, The Weather Man, & Heat.

MORE TO SAY

This month, we’ll get reviews of Passengers, Office Christmas Party, Bebe’s Kids, & Get Out out there.

THE UNTITLED BETTER CALL SAUL POSTING

More from the third season of Better Call Saul in the month of May.

BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES EPISODIC REVIEWS CONTINUING INTO THE SUMMER

The Batman: The Animated Series reviews have been a success so far and as we reach a fourth of the way through the 109 episode run, the reviews will continue into the summer. And again, I am considering doing Superman: The Animated Series episodic reviews if you guys out there want it.

TOP 30 FAVORITE MOVIE SCENES BEGINNING JUNE 2ND

We’re closing in on summertime, folks and that means it’s getting closer to the annual summer special event I like to do, two years ago it was my favorite movies, last year it was my least favorite movies, and this year, we’re looking at my top 30 favorite movie scenes of all time.

The 15 week countdown begins on Friday June 2nd and continues all throughout this summer.

NICKELODEON MOVIES REVIEWS COMING SOON

With how successful my Nicktoons reviews last year went, I figure what the hell, at some point in the next couple of months, I will take a look at the Nickelodeon Movies and do special reviews for them. Will definitely get around to that after this summer.

THE STATUS OF MARVELOUS MAY

Now, I know a lot of you are probably wondering, where’s the first Marvelous May review for the month? Well…a little change of plans came in to play and I decided to push back on Marvelous May for this year.

The reason why Marvelous May is getting pushed back this year mostly comes from me doing the Batman: The Animated Series reviews and mostly because I wanted to wait a year for more Marvel stuff to come out so I can have a full month of stuff to cover. When I was trying to put together this year’s Marvelous May lineup, I was struggling to find 31 days of content to cover like I usually do.

Again, that does not mean I’m not going to do this again, it’s just going to be pushed back until 2018 for the latest Marvelous May. You will still get a DC-Ember in December this year but for now, Marvelous May is being pushed back to May 2018.

You can check out the past Marvelous May reviews I did here to pass the time.

With that said, that’s going to wrap up the State Of The Reviewing Network for the month of April. Be sure to check back on Thursday June 1st for the State Of The Reviewing Network for the month of May.
