Welcome to the State Of The Reviewing Network for the month of May 2017, let’s begin with taking a look at the posts coming up this month:

TATM: TALKIN’ ABOUT THE MOVIES

This month, you’ll see brand new reviews for Wonder Woman, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, The Mummy, Cars 3, & Rough Night plus the latest installment of The Year In Movies with 1990.

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF DISNEY

We continue our look at the direct-to-video Disney films with the infamous Belle’s Magical World, Pocahontas II: Journey To A New World, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, and the theatrically released The Tigger Movie.

THE REVIEWING NETWORK LIVE

This month, we’ll watch Wayne’s World, the first Cars, and both Despicable Me 1 and 2.

MY TAKE ON…

This month, we’ll look at why people have this bias on kids movies, ponder the questions if Ducktales & Darkwing Duck actually do exist in the same universe, look at if the 2007 thriller Mr. Brooks was actually a good movie, and wonder what the hell happened to Cartoon Network.

MOVIES IN MY COLLECTION

We’ll celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Untouchables and then begin a summer looking back at every Pink Panther movie.

THE TALK ABOUT NOTHING

We’ll finally wrap up season seven and get to the first episode of season eight of Seinfeld.

TALKING SIMPSONS

We’ll spend June looking at the rest of season 19 and the first couple of episodes of season 20.

DO YOU REMEMBER?

This month, we’ll look at Merv Griffin’s Crosswords, Alf’s Hit Talk Show, The Family Feud Challenge, and Caesar’s Challenge.

WHO’S THE BETTER FRANCHISE?

This month’s battle will be between two action franchises, Lethal Weapon and Rush Hour.

ACTORS’ SPOTLIGHT

This month, we’ll spotlight the careers of Amy Poehler, Steve Carell, Mark Wahlberg, & Christian Bale.

THE MUSIC ROOM

Yeah, I screwed up and forgot to put up this month’s Music Room so on June 26th, you will see the third Musical Spotlight on Madonna.

THE REVIEWING NETWORK’S FAVORITE MOVIES

This month, we’ll look at Caddyshack, Airplane!, The Bad News Bears, The Longest Yard, and Goodfellas.

MORE TO SAY

You’ll see long overdue reviews for Get Out, the original Ghost In The Shell, The Founder, Split, & Snowden.

THE UNTITLED BETTER CALL SAUL POSTING

The final three episodes of season three come on this month.

BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES EPISODIC REVIEWS CONTINUING INTO THE SUMMER

The Batman: The Animated Series reviews have been a success so far and as we’re now over halfway through the 109 episode run, the reviews will continue into the summer. And again, I am considering doing Superman: The Animated Series episodic reviews if you guys out there want it.

TOP 30 FAVORITE MOVIE SCENES BEGINNING FRIDAY

We’re closing in on summertime, folks and that means it’s getting closer to the annual summer special event I like to do, two years ago it was my favorite movies, last year it was my least favorite movies, and this year, we’re looking at my top 30 favorite movie scenes of all time.

The 15 week countdown begins on Friday and continues all throughout this summer.

NICKELODEON MOVIES REVIEWS COMING SOON

With how successful my Nicktoons reviews last year went, I figure what the hell, at some point in the next couple of months, I will take a look at the Nickelodeon Movies and do special reviews for them. Will definitely get around to that after this summer.

OUR FALL PREVIEW SPECIAL WILL BE IN NEXT MONTH’S STATE OF THE REVIEWING NETWORK

A reminder that our annual fall preview special showcasing what’s coming to the site starting in September and throughout the year will be showcased in next month’s State Of The Reviewing Network.
