Previously on Recap Of Thrones…
They pretty much throw everything but the kitchen sink at you in this episode and it ain’t slowing down anytime soon as next week’s teaser pretty much teased a meeting of Cersei and Daenerys and a gigantic war.
Yeah, that wasn’t Cersei.
Yeah, before we delve into this week’s episode, I made a major fuckup on my review for the last episode because I talked about how in the teaser for the episode airing this week, it ends with a tease of a meeting between Cersei and Daeneys…….ONLY the person siting in the throne was not Cersei, it was actually Daernys and she did end up having one of the more anticipated meetups we’ve been waiting to see but let’s now actually talk about this episode…
The Queen’s Justice, written by David Benioff & D.B. Weiss and directed by Mark Mylod.
Daenerys holds court. Cersei returns a gift. Jaime learns from his mistakes.
Yes, Daenerys and Jon Snow finally meet, Ice and Fire come together right at the beginning of the episode, that’s right, this shit wastes no time getting to what we want to see three of our favorite characters, Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Tyrion all in the same room at the same time and it’s about as grand, exciting and epic as you can possibly get. It’s amazing how they are not wasting any time whatsoever in this shorter season and they know that they have to get as much stuff out as they can with only a small number of episodes left, we’re now just four episodes away from a finale that judging by how this episode plays out should be more intense and more exciting than we could ever imagine.
And of course, you’ve got a key death scene in this episode as well that for the sake of my audience, I will not spoil it for you. But I will say once again, we’re getting to a lot of the good stuff quickly and still with the great writing the series has come to be known for.
