Haw Haw Land was written by Tim Long & Miranda Thompson and directed by Bob Anderson.
The Simpsons go to a STEM conference, where Lisa becomes smitten with an older musician called Brendan (voiced by Ed Sheeran). Both Nelson and Milhouse try to win Lisa over instead. Meanwhile, Bart discovers his affinity for chemistry.
Wow, I’ve never seen an episode where a main character is a second banana to her own story, not even kidding Lisa is literally relegated to a second banana in the main plot of the story and the episode kind of stumbles because of it, not enough solid jokes, a clichéd story, and just not a good way to start The Simpsons off in 2018.
