Talking Simpsons #676: Highway To Well

Highway To Well was written by Carolyn Omine and directed by Chris Clements.

Homer and Marge become weed dealers at competing businesses.

I guess last week’s mediocre episode was just a fluke because all of a sudden, the series came back on a positive note this week taking a premise that could’ve easily fallen apart at the seams and actually made something funny with it.

Billy Porter and Lauren Lapkus turn in two really solid guest spots on this episode, the storyline with Homer and Marge as weed dealers actually does provide some fresh funny material for a plot that almost could’ve easily been a retread of the episode where Homer takes the medicinal marijuana but it doesn’t go that way, they actually do manage to provide some really funny moments that feel, once again, fresh and doesn’t feel like retreadable material.

It’s a very fun enjoyable episode that has a lot of funny moments, a good story, and good animation to carry the half hour.

The only real downside of this episode is simply this….this is the last new episode until April 19th so, we are gonna be without new Simpsons episodes for almost a month….in a pandemic….this is gonna be a long four weeks already.
